Celebrating Founders Day at the American Academy

On November 1st, the American Academy celebrated the 105th anniversary of Guivy Zaldastanishvili, one of the remarkable founders of the American Academy in Tbilisi.
His vision gave life to our school, built on the foundation of two core values: Education and Kindness. These values reflect his belief that real learning must always go hand in hand with compassion, and for empathy, unity, and responsibility to truly flourish, education must be rooted in kindness.
Batoni Guivy understood deeply that knowledge alone, without empathy, can lead us down a path lacking humanity. He believed that one of the primary missions of education is to nurture honorable citizens who can foster mutual understanding and respect within the community, which is the cornerstone of a healthy and strong society.
