Convocation Ceremony

On September 6, 2022, the Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi held the Convocation Ceremony.
The Convocation Ceremony “calls together” the students, teachers, the parents’ council, and the trustees of the American Academy to celebrate the beginning of the new school year. This year, Tamar Japaridze, the school trustee addressed the students. In his closing remarks, Andres J. Cruz, the director, congratulated the school community on the beginning of the new academic year.
At the ceremony, the Georgian anthem was played.
The Convocation Ceremony was initiated by the academy’s Founding Director, Donald W. Thomas, in 2013, and since then it has become a school tradition.
