The Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi is a private high school, enrolling 372 students in grades 8 through 12. The mission of the school is to help bring Georgia into the 21st century by preparing its children to compete on a global scale, both locally and in schools abroad. Our highly trained, experienced, and well-paid teachers work with students in a modern, well-equipped facility that is designed for interactive learning in small classes, and supported by sophisticated technology and laboratories.
Although the school is American in name, it is of, by, and for Georgians. With the exception of Georgian and Russian, all subjects are taught in English. Students applying to the Academy must take an in-house Georgian, English proficiency test, and an in-house mathematics test, and have an interview with Admissions Committee. Students with the highest combined scores will be admitted. The Academy welcomes applications from international students.
