Educational Tour in Italy
April 02, 2026
We are pleased to share that the 12th-grade students of the Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy participated in an educational program in Italy, aimed at deepening their understanding of the cultural and literary heritage of Dante Alighieri and Giovanni Boccaccio.
During the tour, students traveled to Florence, Bologna, Ravenna, and Venice, where they visited important cultural sites connected to the lives and works of these great authors.
A particularly symbolic and emotional experience for both students and teachers was in Ravenna, where they publicly read excerpts from The Divine Comedy in both Georgian and Italian in front of Dante’s tomb.
The program combined academic, cultural, and educational activities, including thematic tours, museum visits, and city exploration.
