Project "Girls for Girls"
December 06, 2021
After a long pause, “Girls for Girls" returns with a new session. The project aims to help girls raise their self-esteem and increase general understanding and knowledge about gender stereotypes and discrimination. The project consists of open discussions, film reviews, and interactive lectures. A total of six meetings are scheduled: December 4-5, 11-12, and 18-19. Each meeting will last 2 hours and 30 minutes. Due to COVID-19, the meetings will be held virtually on Zoom, in Georgian Language.
The project "Girls for Girls" aims to support young girls in their personal development to help them build their self-esteem, overcome stereotypes they are facing and enable them to reach their full potential. The project will include open discussions and interactive lectures on topics such as gender equality, certain stereotypes, and other critical issues. Project participants will master the art of public speaking and debate, as well as participate in other cognitive activities. Participants will also be able to meet invited guest speakers who will share their experiences.
Meetings will be held on December 4-5, 11-12 and 18-19, online.
Girls between the ages of 14 and 18 are eligible to participate in the project. A total of 12–15 participants will be chosen. Participants will be selected through an application and further remote interviews. The registration deadline is December 3, at 3:00 pm.
