June 8th marked one year since the loss of our beloved 2010 graduate Giorgi Fremer-Yakobashvili.
Giorgi was an extraordinary person—kind, genuine, and full of determination. He was not just a standout student; he was the kind of friend who was always ready to encourage and support those around him. His warmth and incredibly positive energy left a lasting mark on everyone who had the chance to know him.
To carry forward Giorgi’s memory and impact, the Giorgi Fremer-Yakobashvili Foundation was established by his family. The Foundation’s mission is to support talented and motivated students in pursuing meaningful and fulfilling paths, just as Giorgi did.
A simple but heartfelt presentation of the Foundation took place during the Academy’s closing ceremony on June 20, where students also watched a video address from Giorgi’s family.
We are honored to share that three ninth-grade students have already received scholarships through the Foundation this year.
We send our deepest love and respect to Giorgi’s family and continue to feel the weight of this loss.
We hope that through this foundation, Giorgi’s memory will live on in future generations, and his bright example will always be a guide for those who choose the path of knowledge and goodness.
