Graduation Ceremony 2018

The 14th Graduation Ceremony of the Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi was held on June 9th, 2018 at the Tbilisi State Conservatory Grand Hall. The trustees, families, and friends of the American Academy attended the ceremony. Badri Japaridze, the member of the board of trustees, addressed the Academy graduates. Andrés J. Cruz, the school director, was the graduation speaker.
This year 70 students have successfully completed the high school. The graduates of the class of 2018 garnered 125 college acceptances worldwide and over $2 million in scholarships.
Two members of the graduating class, Levan Kiladze and Elene Chochia, were awarded Medals. Levan Kiladze received the Thomas Medal for demonstrating exemplary character and scholarship over the course of his studies at the GZAAT.
The Faculty Medal was awarded to Elene Chochiafor being the student whose love of learning, intellectual curiosity, and strength of character have enriched and affirmed the teachers in the sanctity of their chosen profession.
Giorgi Bekuridze was recognized at graduation ceremony as the class valedictorian.
At the end of the ceremony, the graduating seniors sang the school anthem for the last time.
